About the Journal
The postgraduate medical journal of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (PMJN) is an internationally peer-reviewed, indexed, biomedical journal published by the National Academy of Medical Sciences. Journal is one of the oldest journals from Nepal since 2000 A.D. It is indexed in Nepal Medline (Nepmed) managed by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, a renowned government-owned autonomous institution of Nepal and in the process of indexing in other repositories. The journal is planned to be indexed in Google Scholar, Index Copernicus, and Directory of Open Access Journals in the near future.
The journal was published biannually till the end of 2023 A.D. and has been published quarterly since 2024 A.D. The Journal is open access and no publication charges are incurred. It is published online and in print versions. The journal follows the open access policy and its content is freely available to the public. It allows readers to copy, download, distribute, print, search and link full-text articles and use them for any other purposes to ensure maximum dissemination of its content and wider impact in the community.

Journal is one of the oldest journal from Nepal since 1999. It is indexed in Nepal Medline (Nepmed) managed by National Academy of Medical Sciences, renowned government owned autonomous institution of Nepal and in process of indexing in other repositories. Journal is planned to be indexed in Google Scholar, Index Copernicus, Directory of Open Access Journal in near future.
The journal is published every six monthly issue. Publication charges are free and incurred by National Academy of Medical Sciences. It priorities scientifically conducted research done in developing countries and aims to make it visible to other scientific communities.
It has both the print and the digital version of publication for the time being, however it plans to be fully digital and aims to make it available in other repositories in near future.
It journal follows the open access policy and its content are freely available to the public. It allows readers to copy, download, distribute, print, search and link full text articles and allows readers to use them for any other purposes to ensure maximum dissemination of its content and wider impact in the community.
